My combined interest in Painting, Printmaking and Sculpture centers on expressing the essence and heightened emotion of a past experience or remembered fleeting moment.
Using paint and mixed media on canvas, paper and carved stone.....I wish to engage the viewer with a newly formed presence which has no prescribed boundaries and is not necessarily of a particular time and space.
The end result can be compared to listening to music, whether classical or jazz.....a deeply felt moment. Intuition, spontaneity are my tools as I experiment with endless variations of line, form, color and texture striving to capture the inner landscape that resonates within me.
