Adele Grodstein
Conveying a sense of place and playfulness in her work, Adele Grodstein is always on the lookout for the visual surprises that surround us. She also enjoys imagined scenarios and often relies on the instincts that come with a lifetime of painting experience. Adele likes to paint contrasts: subtle and strong color, brushy and fluid line, simple and complicated subjects. The spirit of these subjects drives her more than any need to faithfully reproduce them.
Adele earned a fine arts degree from Syracuse University. She has painted, drawn and sculpted in stone and clay throughout her professional life in advertising (art direction) and publication (graphic design).
