Elizabeth DeMarco
New Jersey born and bred, Elizabeth DeMarco attended her first art classes at the Yard School of Art, Montclair. She continued her studies at Skidmore College, and later at the Wyckoff Gallery, the Art Center of Northern New Jersey, the School of Visual Arts and the New York Studio School. Elizabeth also attended many Master Artist residencies in Florida, Maine, New Mexico and North Carolina.
She co-owned Studio 4 West in Piermont and continues to paint in her studio in Leonia, New Jersey.
Elizabeth shifted from realism to abstract expressionism to better express her vision as a woman deeply engaged in the world. She says, “Energy pulses through my work in marks and force-fields, resonating from the music I dance to as I paint.”
